RoboPoet Introduces Fuzozo AI Companion Toy

RoboPoet has introduced Fuzozo, an AI toy aimed at offering companionship beyond traditional digital assistants. The toy responds to voice, eye patterns, vibrations, and touch, with the goal of fostering an emotional connection through prolonged interaction.

Fuzozo's personality is not fixed; it evolves based on user interaction. The toy utilizes three core systems: MEM for emotional interaction, EchoChain for long-term memory, and GrowMe for personality development. The manufacturer emphasizes that Fuzozo is intended as an emotional companion rather than a productivity tool.

The toy cannot search the web or answer all factual questions. Instead, it focuses on creating a pet-like presence. Fuzozo can also switch to a "Fuzzy language" mode, communicating through sounds and expressions for a more subtle form of companionship. A privacy mode is also available, where the toy indicates it is in this mode and cannot recall certain previous details.

Areas for improvement were noted during testing, including voice clarity and speech recognition. Noticeable response delays were also observed. RoboPoet plans future updates to enhance these features. Fuzozo is currently available for overseas presale and supports both 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity. The toy offers approximately one day of battery life with moderate use.
