The capability of robot vacuums to clean carpets has been a subject of discussion, but manufacturer Roborock confirms that modern devices can effectively remove dirt even from the deeper fibers of carpets.

The effectiveness of a robot vacuum for carpet cleaning depends on several factors, including suction power, brush design, and navigation system. Models specifically optimized for carpets, with powerful suction (such as Roborock's models offering up to 10,000 Pa HyperForce suction) and advanced brush materials, can efficiently loosen and collect dust, dirt, and allergens deep within the fibers.

Different carpet types also affect cleaning results. Low-pile and Berber carpets are easiest to clean, while thick and high-pile carpets require more suction and effective brushing. Roborock's models, like the Qrevo Master and S8 MaxV Ultra, are designed to handle these challenges. Their LiDAR-based navigation helps accurately map the space and avoid obstacles, such as carpet fringes.

Roborock emphasizes that deep carpet cleaning requires more than surface-level vacuuming. Specialized models, featuring functions like hot water mopping or powerful mopping systems, can enhance overall cleanliness by removing even deeply embedded dirt and allergens, offering an improved solution for household cleaning.
