RoboSense Launches Automated LiDAR Production Line in Shenzhen
RoboSense has commissioned a highly automated LiDAR production line in Shenzhen, capable of producing 500,000 units annually with a staff of six.
RoboSense has officially commenced operations at its new automated LiDAR manufacturing line located in the Nanshan district of Shenzhen. The facility utilizes over 100 precision automated systems to perform more than 70 distinct manufacturing stages, ranging from initial assembly and adhesive application to final calibration and testing.
Operating at a 99 percent automation rate, the line requires a core team of only six personnel to maintain an annual output of 500,000 units. To ensure reliability at scale, the process includes rigorous verification, with each unit subjected to over 3,600 inspection metrics covering optical, electrical, mechanical, and functional safety standards.
The new facility integrates into RoboSense's broader MARS manufacturing base, which currently operates 22 automated lines. With the company reporting an average production rate of one unit every eight seconds across its operations, the firm aims to reach a total capacity of four million LiDAR units per year.
