Robotics Startup Mowito Raises $3 Million For US Expansion

Bengaluru, India – Robotics startup Mowito has raised $3 million (approximately ₹28.6 crore) in a pre-seed funding round led by Version One Ventures, with participation from All In Capital, Unisol, and iSeed.

The startup intends to use the funds to accelerate its United States expansion, bolster its engineering and go-to-market teams, and scale deployments across automotive and electronics manufacturers. The capital will also advance the development of its physical AI platform.

Mowito develops AI models designed to run standard industrial robot arms. The company’s proprietary physical AI enables robots to learn new tasks by observing human operators, bypassing traditional, complex coding methods. Founded in 2024 by Puru Rastogi and Adityanag Nagesh, Mowito currently operates in Bengaluru and Detroit, serving clients in the automotive and electronics sectors.

The company claims its robots are already deployed on manufacturing lines for a Fortune 500 automotive firm and one of the world's largest electronics contract manufacturers. This funding round comes as Indian deeptech manufacturing startups leveraging AI are attracting significant investor interest.
