Rocky Mountain Youth Corps Secures $340K in New Funding After Implementing Sage Intacct
Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) has secured $340,000 in new funding following its transition to Sage Intacct, enhancing financial transparency and operational efficiency. The nonprofit credits the system with improving visibility into program costs and overall financial health.

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC), a New Mexico-based nonprofit focused on youth workforce development and conservation projects, has reported securing $340,000 in new funding after implementing Sage Intacct for its financial management. The organization utilized the software to improve visibility into its finances, which previously relied on extensive spreadsheet use.
The transition from Intuit QuickBooks to Sage Intacct has led to a reported 50% increase in finance efficiency for RMYC. Additionally, automated workflows have saved an estimated 30 person-hours per month. The nonprofit works with young adults aged 17-25 on land conservation and other projects, often funded by multiple grants and donors, necessitating robust financial tracking.
According to finance director Rosanna Aragon, the previous system made it difficult to track funding sources across various projects and locations. RMYC was heavily reliant on Excel spreadsheets for reporting. Sage Intacct's fund accounting and dynamic allocation capabilities have provided the necessary structure to manage complex funding streams more effectively.
The improved financial insights have enabled RMYC to more accurately bid on new projects and demonstrate program reach and costs to potential funders. This enhanced transparency was cited as a key factor in securing the additional $340,000 from sources like forest and park foundations seeking expansion of RMYC's conservation initiatives.
