Rohde & Schwarz adds R&S®SAM200 system amplifier for applications up to 53 GHz
Rohde & Schwarz has launched the R&S®SAM200 system amplifier, extending its portfolio to cover frequencies up to 53 GHz. The new amplifier targets applications in the Ka-, Q-, and V-bands.
Munich, 24.09.2026 – Rohde & Schwarz announced the introduction of the R&S®SAM200 system amplifier, expanding its amplifier product range. This new amplifier complements the existing SAM100 model and extends the frequency coverage from 20 GHz up to 53 GHz.
The R&S®SAM200 and its advanced variant are designed to meet the increasing demand for testing solutions in the Ka-, Q-, and V-bands. These frequency ranges are crucial for next-generation satellite communications and advanced telecommunications standards.
The SAM200 Advanced model features an integrated power detector, USB and LAN interfaces, and a web-based graphical user interface (GUI). Its switchable RF-path functionality allows for optimization of EVM signal quality, particularly when used with vector signal generators or network analyzers.
This amplifier is intended for RF component testing where signal generators or network analyzers may have limited output power. The broad frequency coverage allows a single amplifier to replace multiple narrowband units, reducing equipment footprint and overall system costs. Units are available in both desktop and rack-mount configurations.
The solid-state amplifier incorporates robust output mismatch protection and a gradual power foldback mechanism. This ensures continuous operation and minimizes downtime in critical testing environments. Rohde & Schwarz now offers comprehensive solutions for the satellite, aerospace, and mobile communications industries.
