German technology group Rohde & Schwarz has announced several updates in June 2026, including changes in its leadership and advancements in its product offerings across various sectors.
Hansjörg Herrbold and Andreas Hägele have been appointed as Executive Vice Presidents for the Technology Systems division, taking over leadership responsibilities. In aviation, the company's CERTIUM communication system is being deployed at Memmingen Airport. Additionally, the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority has modernized its nationwide air traffic control voice communications using Rohde & Schwarz CERTIUM radios.
The company is also continuing to expand its testing and measurement capabilities. Taiwan's BTL Laboratory has acquired an R&S TS8991 OTA test system compliant with CTIA Certification standards. Rohde & Schwarz is also set to exhibit its solutions for mission-critical communications at CCW 2026 and will host its sixth Satellite Industry Days event with the theme "From Earth to Orbit," focusing on space systems and satellite communications.
In the automotive sector, Rohde & Schwarz's test solution for hybrid and Next Generation eCall systems has received certification from cetecom advanced. The company is also advancing its work in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications within its test and measurement product lines.
