Rohde & Schwarz Appoints New Leadership for Technology Systems Division
Hansjörg Herrbold and Andreas Hägele will assume leadership of the Technology Systems Division as Executive Vice Presidents starting July 1, 2026. The move introduces a dual leadership structure aimed at enhancing customer and market alignment.
Rohde & Schwarz announced on Monday changes to the leadership of its Technology Systems Division. Effective July 1, 2026, Hansjörg Herrbold and Andreas Hägele will jointly step into the roles of Executive Vice Presidents for Technology Systems.
They succeed Dr. Luis Alejandro Orellano, who is departing the company at the end of June. The company stated that establishing a dual leadership position is a strategic decision to align the division more closely with customer needs and market dynamics.
Herrbold brings over two decades of experience within Rohde & Schwarz's defense sector, with extensive knowledge of customer requirements. He previously managed the naval communications segment and most recently headed the Information and Business Technology Division.
Hägele offers significant expertise in critical infrastructure and physical security. During his five years at Rohde & Schwarz, he established the Microwave Imaging business unit and led the R&S QPS security scanner to market success, with over 2,000 units deployed globally. Both new leaders will remain or become members of the Corporate Management team.
