Rohde & Schwarz has introduced the CMX500 AI Scripting Assistant, an AI-powered tool designed to streamline and accelerate the creation of test scripts for mobile devices.
Munich – Rohde & Schwarz has launched its CMX500 AI Scripting Assistant, a new solution that leverages artificial intelligence to automate the generation of test scripts for mobile devices. The tool aims to simplify and speed up the work for test engineers who previously faced challenges in creating complex scripts from diverse sources.
The CMX500 AI Scripting Assistant utilizes generative AI and natural language processing to enhance efficiency in areas such as R&D 5G NR protocol testing, application testing, and instrument automation. The assistant draws upon Rohde & Schwarz's proprietary data and expertise, enabling the creation of accurate XLAPI scripts with significantly less effort. It can also extend existing scripts and provide explanations for their functionality.
This solution is intended to reduce the risk of errors and shorten the time-to-market for mobile devices. It is particularly targeted at test engineers within mobile device manufacturers, who often must manually compile information from sources like 3GPP specifications, XLAPI and Python scripts, and user manuals.
Rohde & Schwarz commits to keeping the tool current through automatic updates, ensuring users access to the latest information and best practices. The CMX500 AI Scripting Assistant is available through various deployment options. The company will demonstrate the solution live at MWC 2025 in Barcelona.
