Rohde & Schwarz has delivered its comprehensive electronic warfare system, named Heimdall, to the Norwegian army. The system aims to enhance surveillance capabilities and improve situational awareness.

German technology group Rohde & Schwarz has supplied the Norwegian army with its comprehensive electronic warfare system, Heimdall. The system is now being phased in to enhance the army's electronic surveillance and situational awareness capabilities.
The Norwegian army selected Rohde & Schwarz equipment for its strong radio frequency (RF) characteristics, fast signal processing, and well-engineered operability. The primary goal of the acquisition was to improve the scope of surveillance and provide better situational awareness for army operations.
"A key factor for mission success is the ability to gain information superiority and situational awareness," said Wolfgang Marchl, Vice President Government at Rohde & Schwarz.
