Technology group Rohde & Schwarz achieved revenues exceeding three billion euros for the first time in fiscal year 2024/2025 amidst geopolitical and economic volatility. The company reported a 7.8% increase in revenue.

Munich – Rohde & Schwarz has reported revenues exceeding three billion euros for the first time in its history, reaching €3.16 billion in fiscal year 2024/2025. This represents a 7.8% increase in revenue, achieved despite a challenging global economic and geopolitical landscape. The company highlighted its resilience and diversified product portfolio as key factors.

The technology group also saw its order backlog reach a record high of over €5 billion. Employee numbers grew to more than 15,000 worldwide, with nearly 10,000 based in Germany. Rohde & Schwarz is continuing to expand its teams at its headquarters and international locations.

Investments in production capabilities are ongoing, with approximately €300 million allocated in recent years. Further expansion of production sites in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Malaysia is planned. The company consistently invests a double-digit percentage of its revenue in research and development, focusing on key technologies such as frequencies above 100 GHz, mmWave, artificial intelligence (AI), and semiconductors.

Demand for security and defense solutions remains high due to geopolitical tensions. Rohde & Schwarz is supplying communication systems for various naval projects, including Germany's F124 frigates and Australia's Hunter-class frigates. The company is also involved in the AI backbone development for the European Future Combat Air System (FCAS). In civil aviation, Rohde & Schwarz USA secured a contract with the Federal Aviation Administration to replace analog communication infrastructure.

The company continues to develop drone detection and countermeasures, with new applications for 5G campus networks. Additionally, Rohde & Schwarz is researching future mobile communication generations, such as 6G, and providing measurement solutions for the evolving technology landscape.
