Rohde & Schwarz expands satellite communications capabilities with dual acquisition
Rohde & Schwarz has acquired Dresden-based deep-tech firms NEOSAT and PHYTRONIC to bolster its satellite communication and aerospace technology portfolio.

The acquisition of NEOSAT and PHYTRONIC marks a strategic move for Rohde & Schwarz to deepen its expertise in satellite-based technologies. The two acquired companies specialize in multi-antenna satellite systems and innovative transmission methods designed to support global connectivity for machines and sensors.
These capabilities are intended to complement Rohde & Schwarz’s existing operations in secure communication systems for civil and military aerospace applications. By integrating these specialized technologies, the firm aims to address growing industry demand for resilient satellite-based infrastructure.
In parallel to these developments, the company has announced recent updates to its product ecosystem, including new multi-channel DC power supplies and the introduction of 'MXO AI Connect,' a tool designed to integrate artificial intelligence into oscilloscope workflows.
