Rohde & Schwarz introduces ARDRONIS Detect for drone surveillance
Rohde & Schwarz has launched ARDRONIS Detect, a software-based solution designed to identify commercial drones by monitoring radio frequency signals.

Munich-based technology group Rohde & Schwarz has expanded its counter-uncrewed aerial systems (CUAS) portfolio with the release of ARDRONIS Detect. The system is designed to identify commercial drones by detecting specific radio frequency signatures, including frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) and various video signals.
The solution operates through the ARDRONIS Control Center software and requires compatibility with the company’s R&S UMS400 or EM200 receivers. Designed for integration into broader security frameworks, the system can be configured for fixed, mobile, or semi-mobile deployment scenarios.
According to Jens Steinwandt, head of product management for C-UAS at the company, the tool aims to provide a versatile identification capability for critical infrastructure and security applications. The system is currently available for purchase or as an upgrade to existing installations.
