Rohde & Schwarz introduces new measurement antenna up to 8 GHz
Rohde & Schwarz is launching its new R&S TSEMF-B2E isotropic antenna, extending measurement capabilities for Wi-Fi 6E and new 5G bands up to 8 GHz. The system allows for on-site evaluation of electromagnetic emissions.

Rohde & Schwarz announced the introduction of its new R&S TSEMF-B2E isotropic antenna for its R&S TS-EMF measurement system. The antenna extends the system's frequency range to cover 700 MHz to 8 GHz, supporting measurements for emerging wireless technologies.
This new antenna addresses the need for measuring electromagnetic emissions in higher frequency bands used by Wi-Fi 6E and new 5G services such as n96, n102, and n104. Previously, isotropic antennas in such systems typically covered frequencies up to 6 GHz. The R&S TSEMF-B2E antenna provides a solution for simple and precise on-site evaluation of these newer frequency ranges.
When paired with Rohde & Schwarz's R&S FPH or R&S FSH handheld spectrum analyzers, the R&S TS-EMF system, using three antennas, now covers the entire frequency range from 9 kHz to 8 GHz. The company states that the isotropic measurement method simplifies electromagnetic compatibility (EMCE) measurements by capturing signals from all directions and polarizations.
The new R&S TSEMF-B2E isotropic antenna and R&S FPH handheld spectrum analyzer will be showcased at the EMV 2023 trade show in Stuttgart from March 28-30. Rohde & Schwarz has over 90 years of experience in developing test and measurement equipment and technology systems.
