Rohde & Schwarz presents air traffic control technology at Airspace World
Rohde & Schwarz showcased its comprehensive CERTIUM® portfolio and other Air Traffic Control solutions at Airspace World 2023 in Geneva. A new drone-mounted analyzer for ATC communication signals was also introduced.

German technology group Rohde & Schwarz presented its latest advancements in air traffic control (ATC) technology at Airspace World 2023 in Geneva. The company highlighted its CERTIUM® product suite, designed for secure air traffic communications from radio to antenna.
Key exhibits included the CERTIUM® communication suite, the R&S Series5200 radio for VHF and UHF frequencies, and the IP-based CERTIUM VCS voice system. Rohde & Schwarz also launched the new R&S®EVSD1000 VHF/UHF nav/drone analyzer, a device intended for onboard drone use for measurements and analysis of ATC communication signals.
The company also displayed other solutions such as a high-power HF transmitter, the R&S AVQA voice quality assurance system, identification and localization systems for air traffic, drone detection and countermeasures, and the LDACS digital aeronautical communications standard. Rohde & Schwarz participated in panel discussions focusing on resilient infrastructure and the future of integrated airspace.
