Rohde & Schwarz releases updated global spectrum allocation chart

German technology firm Rohde & Schwarz has updated its reference chart regarding global radio frequency spectrum allocations. The revision incorporates over 2,000 regulatory changes formalized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) during the World Radio Conference 2023, which are now codified in the 2024 edition of the ITU Radio Regulations.

The updated chart highlights current frequency assignments for 5G telecommunications, specifically addressing 5GNR FR3 and FR1 bands, alongside new allocations for large-scale satellite internet constellations. These reference materials are utilized by engineering teams to navigate the international regulatory framework for radio operations.

The document is available for digital download globally. The company stated that printed versions are currently available only for distribution within the United States and Canada. Rohde & Schwarz maintains its involvement in international spectrum coordination as part of its long-standing role in the radio frequency testing sector.
