Rohde & Schwarz Revenue Exceeds Three Billion Euros for First Time

Munich – Rohde & Schwarz has announced a record financial year, surpassing the three billion euro revenue mark for the first time in its history. The technology group reported a total revenue of 3.16 billion euros for fiscal year 2024/2025, representing a 7.8 percent increase from the previous year.

The company attributed its success to robust demand in the security and defense sectors, alongside a stable performance in its test and measurement business, supported by a diversified product portfolio. Rohde & Schwarz also achieved a record order backlog exceeding five billion euros, with a positive operating result. Strong business growth was noted particularly in Germany, Europe, and North America.

Significant investments are being made in research and development, focusing on key technologies such as frequencies above 100 GHz, mmWave, artificial intelligence (AI), and semiconductors. The company has also allocated approximately 300 million euros to enhance its production capacities, with further expansions planned in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Malaysia.

In the defense market, Rohde & Schwarz is supplying communications systems for military digitalization programs and has secured strategic naval projects, equipping frigates for both the German and Australian navies. The company is also involved in the development of AI solutions for the European Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

For the civil sector, Rohde & Schwarz secured a significant contract with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to modernize communication infrastructure at airports. Its millimeterwave security scanners have now been installed at 2,000 airports worldwide, and the company is expanding its drone detection and defense solutions.
