Rohde & Schwarz supplies EMC test system to Emitech's new vehicle test center in France
Rohde & Schwarz has supplied its electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test system to Emitech's newly opened vehicle test center in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France. The system supports EMC testing for vehicles and other equipment.

German technology company Rohde & Schwarz has delivered its electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test system to Emitech's recently inaugurated vehicle test center in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France. The center, focused on EMC testing for vehicles and other heavy equipment, opened in March.
The new facility is equipped to test a range of vehicle types, from two- and three-wheelers and cars to trucks, tractors, and construction machinery. Its reinforced load area can support up to 40 tons, enabling testing for sectors including defense, aerospace, railways, and nuclear power. The center also houses France's largest Faraday cage, used to ensure that tested equipment neither generates nor is disturbed by electromagnetic interference.
Rohde & Schwarz provided Emitech with a complete EMC test system, including R&S BBA150, R&S BBA130, and R&S BBL200 amplifiers, R&S ESW44 test receivers, and R&S SMB100B RF signal generators and power meters. These components deliver the necessary high-power RF signals for testing.
The technology supports testing across a broad frequency range up to 6 GHz, which is critical for modern vehicles and electromotive systems. During the inauguration, Rohde & Schwarz also demonstrated solutions for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) testing.
