Rohde & Schwarz to Host Virtual EMC Conference

Munich – Rohde & Schwarz will host its Demystifying EMC (DEMC) 2025 virtual event on February 11 and 12, 2025. The conference will focus on the fundamentals of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and provide expert insights into emission and immunity testing.

The event will feature interactive presentations and practical workshops offering step-by-step guidance on preparing and performing electromagnetic measurements. Topics covered will include EMI debugging, compliance testing, calibration, and updates on the latest standards, presented by industry experts and partners.

"For DEMC 2025, we decided to go back to basics to demystify the discipline of electromagnetic compatibility testing," said Arthi Krishnamurthy, EMC Segment Manager at Rohde & Schwarz. "This event will enable attendees worldwide to network with the EMC community on essential topics. Participants will gain access to the latest updates on CISPR, IEC, RED, ETSI, ISO, and MIL standards, and explore new technology trends."

Regarding emission testing, sessions will cover CISPR standard updates and testing challenges in applications such as IoT, medical devices, automotive, and defense. For immunity testing, the program includes discussions on IEC standard updates, conducted immunity testing, and troubleshooting tips. Practical workshops will also be featured, including efficient emission testing with modern EMI receivers and a practical approach to bulk current injection (BCI) testing.

The event includes a keynote presentation on EMC testing under dynamic driving conditions in the automotive sector. Attendees who participate in both days of DEMC will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of ten half-day EMC training events and laboratory tours at Rohde & Schwarz headquarters in Munich.
