Rohde & Schwarz Unveils NEMACS for Future Battlefield Connectivity

Rohde & Schwarz unveiled its new Networked Multipoint Array Communications System (NEMACS) at the ILA Berlin Air Show 2026. The system aims to deliver secure, multi-link connectivity for both crewed and uncrewed platforms operating across air, land, sea, and space.

MADE FOR CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS NEMACS is engineered to ensure reliable data exchange even under heavy jamming conditions, a critical capability for modern warfare scenarios involving autonomous and manned systems working in concert.

THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND NEMACS The system utilizes a communication management suite and a family of directional data links operating in C-Band, Ku-Band, and through SATCOM. This configuration establishes a resilient mesh network designed for low probability of detection (LPD) and low probability of interception (LPI), safeguarding data streams from adversaries.

"The launch of NEMACS at ILA 2026 demonstrates our commitment to providing the armed forces of today and tomorrow with a communication backbone that is as agile and resilient as the platforms it connects," said Andreas Domann, Vice President of Multi-Domain Communications at Rohde & Schwarz.

Rohde & Schwarz is showcasing NEMACS at ILA Berlin 2026 in Hall D, Booth 390, highlighting its role in enabling faster decision-making and mission success in contested electromagnetic environments.
