15 October 2026

AI and Augmented Reality smart glasses brand Rokid announced on October 15th the opening of the world's first self-service experience store for its AI glasses in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. This marks Rokid's first overseas flagship store and establishes a novel retail concept for the AI glasses category.

The store operates on a fully self-service model, eliminating the need for sales assistants and providing customers with a pressure-free environment to explore the products. Each of the eight immersive experience zones features an interactive screen that doubles as a mirror and connects to the Rokid Glasses. These 49-gram smart glasses integrate multiple core functions, including photography, speech-to-text, translation, navigation, and an AI assistant.

Rokid states that consumer habits are evolving, with a new generation seeking quiet, undisturbed spaces to explore products at their own pace. Shao Huaqiang, Rokid's Vice President for International and Greater China Business, emphasized the company's standardization of the entire experience process, from screen guidance and guided paths to robotic arm retrieval. The aim is to quickly replicate this model globally, transforming AI glasses from a product requiring explanation into a consumer item accessible to everyone.

According to market research, Rokid held the leading position in the global AI and AR glasses market with a 41% shipment share in the first half of 2026. The self-service experience store strategy aims to reduce the cognitive barrier for consumers, making AI glasses an everyday product that can be experienced independently.
