Ronesans Petrochemical Cluster in Eastern Mediterranean Attracts Over $3 Billion in Investments

Rönesans Holding announced that its developed DAPEK petrochemical cluster in Ceyhan, Adana Province, has entered a new phase of growth. Recent expansions, including a polypropylene production facility and a liquid bulk terminal, have propelled the cluster's total investments to over $3 billion.

Spanning approximately 1,300 hectares, DAPEK aims to become one of the most comprehensive integrated industrial hubs in the Eastern Mediterranean region. The cluster combines petrochemical production, port operations, energy infrastructure, and logistics services. The project includes a significant $1.8 billion polypropylene production facility, developed in partnership with international entities.

Erman Ilıcak, President Emeritus of Rönesans Holding, described DAPEK as a "next-generation industrial ecosystem" aiming to be Turkey's most competitive industrial zone. By co-locating production and logistics near energy and port infrastructure, the project intends to offer investors a centralized solution.

The project, coordinated with the Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Industry and Technology, benefits from its strategic location at the crossroads of European, Middle Eastern, and North African markets. A partnership with Surbana Jurong Group seeks to attract international investment and foster long-term growth, drawing inspiration from successful industrial clusters like Singapore's Jurong Island.
