Rot-Weiss Essen begins building fan club database

Rot-Weiss Essen has initiated a project to establish a comprehensive database for its fan clubs. This endeavor seeks to enhance the connection between the club and its supporters, while also aiming to provide potential benefits for both organized fan groups and individual fans.

To foster greater dialogue between fans and the club, fan liaison officer Ralf Schuh has called upon fan clubs to share their information. The database intends to include details such as the fan club's name, founding year, contact information, and whether new members are being accepted. The club suggests this data will help in developing future benefits, such as special ticket allocations for away games or player visits to fan club anniversaries.

Furthermore, the database is designed to help unorganized fans find active fan clubs to join. Fan clubs are asked to complete a questionnaire available on the club's website. While all requested information is useful for further planning and potential benefits, the data to be published publicly will be limited to a select set, including name, founding year, email address, website, and new member acceptance status.

Schuh emphasized that the success of this project hinges on the participation and cooperation of the fan clubs. He expressed hope for widespread engagement to make the database a valuable tool for the entire RWE fan community. These efforts are part of Schuh's ongoing role in fan engagement and support.
