Rot-Weiss Essen prepares for SC Verl match

Football club Rot-Weiss Essen has held a press conference in preparation for their upcoming home match against SC Verl. The game, marking the 37th matchday of the season, will take place on May 14th at the Hafenstraße stadium, which has completely sold out its 19,100 capacity.

Special arrangements are in place for the fixture concerning visiting supporters. SC Verl is expected to bring approximately 300 to 350 fans. Additionally, a section of the standing terrace normally allocated to away fans will be made available for home supporters, following an agreement with SC Verl.

Rot-Weiss Essen will be playing in a special commemorative jersey celebrating the club's 100-year anniversary. The kit, described as attractive, sold out rapidly. Head coach Uwe Koschinat anticipates a challenging encounter against a strong SC Verl side that has consistently been positioned higher in the league table throughout the season.

In terms of personnel, the team faces several absences. Klaus Jasula, Francis Bulbarie, and Dixon Abiama are unavailable for selection. The decision regarding Dixon Abiama is influenced by the risk of a severe injury. Ramin Safi is set to rejoin the squad after serving a suspension.

The club aims to channel the disappointment from their previous match into positive energy. Rot-Weiss Essen seeks to deliver an improved performance for their home crowd and demonstrate their capability to score goals. SC Verl has proven to be a serious promotion candidate, and past encounters between the two teams have historically been difficult.
