Rules and Roles in "The Traitors" Reality Show
PRISMA-Verlag's new reality show "Die Verräter" focuses on psychological gameplay and deception, where participants must unmask their opponents to win a prize.

PRISMA-Verlag's new reality show "Die Verräter – Vertraue Niemandem!" (The Traitors – Trust No One!) centers on psychological strategy and deception. Sixteen celebrities are participating in a competition held in a French castle for a prize of up to 50,000 euros in silver.
The core of the show relies on mistrust: a select group are secretly designated as "traitors" who aim to conceal their identity and reach the final, while the rest are "loyal" participants tasked with identifying and banishing the traitors. Unlike the contestants, viewers are aware from the start of each person's true role.
Each game day includes missions that contribute to a collective silver treasure. At the end of the day, all participants gather for a "round table" discussion and vote to eliminate a suspected traitor. Throughout the game, traitors employ tactics to build trust and deflect suspicion.
During the night, the traitors convene secretly to choose a loyal participant for elimination. The show culminates in a finale where, if at least one traitor remains undetected, they claim the entire silver treasure. If all traitors are exposed, the remaining loyal participants share the winnings.
The game also incorporates special items, such as a "shield" offering protection from nightly eliminations for one night, and a "dagger" granting the holder a double vote at the round table. These elements add layers of strategy and psychological maneuvering to the competition.
