Runway Media Router dynamically switches AI models for media generation
Runway has launched Media Router, a tool that automatically selects AI models for image, video, and audio generation based on user needs.
Runway announced on July 23 the release of its Media Router, a new product designed to optimize the use of artificial intelligence models in creative media production.
The system dynamically switches AI models during image, video, and audio generation processes to best suit the specific task. Model selection is based on factors such as quality, processing speed, and cost.
This feature aims to simplify workflows for developers by automating the comparison and selection of AI models, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. The Media Router categorizes use cases into three main types: high-speed generation, high-quality but slower generation, and moderate-quality, lower-cost generation.
Runway Media Router is now available on the Runway Dev platform. It supports the generation of images, videos, and audio, and can utilize models from various providers including Seedance, GPT Image 2, and ElevenLabs.
