Rural Mutual Named Among Top 50 Property & Casualty Insurers
Madison-based Rural Mutual Insurance Company has been recognized as one of the top 50 performing property and casualty insurance companies in the U.S. by Ward Group. This marks the 18th consecutive year the company has received the Ward's 50 award.
Madison, Wis. – Rural Mutual Insurance Company has been named to the Ward's 50 list of top performing property and casualty insurance companies in the United States. This is the company's 18th consecutive year receiving the recognition, placing it in the top two percent of over 2,900 U.S. property and casualty insurers analyzed by Ward Group.
The Ward's 50 award identifies companies that meet rigorous financial stability requirements, demonstrate growth while maintaining strong capital positions and underwriting results. The selection is based on a five-year analysis of financial performance.
"Making the Ward's 50 list is especially rewarding when you consider the challenging market conditions in our industry right now," said Dan Merk, Rural Mutual's executive vice president and CEO. He attributed the accomplishment to the dedication and hard work of the company's staff and agents.
This recognition follows Rural Mutual's recent achievement of an A+ rating from AM Best for the ninth consecutive year. The 92-year-old company is a leading writer of farm insurance in Wisconsin.
