Russian President Vladimir Putin has softened a previous threat to use nuclear weapons against NATO. Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Forum in Moscow, Putin stated that Russia has no intention of attacking anyone but warned of using all available weapons, including nuclear, if Russia or its Kaliningrad exclave is attacked.
Putin's comments came on the same day Estonia announced it would ban the transit of Russian grain shipments through its ports. The decision is expected to affect Russia's grain trade and logistics in the Baltic region.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the country had used its new tactical ballistic missile, the FP-7, in combat for the first time. The missile is reported to have a range of approximately 200 kilometers. Putin also announced his goal to conquer the entire Donbas region in under a year and a half.
