Ruukki Expression System Allows Facade Personalization with Images

Ruukki Construction has launched its Ruukki Expression® facade system, which offers customization options for building exteriors using images and patterns. The system operates by applying taped graphics onto the Ruukki® Energy Panel System. This allows for extensive design flexibility, enabling the incorporation of company logos, custom patterns, or even photographic imagery.

The Ruukki Expression system employs high-quality tapes with excellent UV resistance. The taping process is conducted at Ruukki's factory under dry conditions to ensure high precision and secure bonding. Panels are then packaged and delivered in the correct sequence for installation, accompanied by clear layout drawings.

The underlying Ruukki® Energy Panel System is designed for high airtightness, which can lead to energy cost savings of up to 20% and improve a building's energy classification. The Ruukki Expression system encompasses the entire process from design to final delivery.

Notable references for the system include the Port Czystej Energii waste-to-energy plant in Gdańsk, Poland, the Huhtahalli sports hall in Jyväskylä, Finland, and the Sthlm04 office building in Stockholm, Sweden. Ruukki invites clients to submit their design proposals as photos or drawings, upon which Ruukki will develop a tailored plan.
