Ruukki Façade Modernizes Kytary.cz Store in Prague
Music retailer Kytary.cz has unveiled a new façade for its recently renovated Prague premises, supplied by Ruukki Construction. The project was completed on a tight deadline after a change in suppliers.
Kytary.cz, a prominent retailer of musical instruments in the Czech Republic, has completed a significant renovation of its facility in Prague's Modřany district. As part of the upgrade, Ruukki Construction provided a modern steel façade for the 1,300 square meter building.
The original supplier for the façade was unable to meet Kytary.cz's colour and deadline requirements. Subcore, the main contractor, then recommended Ruukki. Despite the short notice, Ruukki successfully delivered the materials and completed the installation, allowing the project to finish on schedule. Tomas Novak, Technical Manager at Kytary.cz, praised the coordination and communication that facilitated the rapid completion.
The new façade features Ruukki's Liberta Original 102 façade cladding in a distinct red hue, chosen to reflect the brand's identity and the vibrant atmosphere within the store. Ruukki utilized 3D visualization and BIM technology to ensure precise detailing and a flawless installation of the ventilated steel façade system.
The renovated building now houses an extensive range of musical instruments, rehearsal rooms, and a customer café. Kytary.cz, which has been operating for nearly 20 years and serves customers in seven countries, expressed high satisfaction with the final result. Novak indicated that Ruukki would be considered for future expansion projects.
