R+V Finance Director Marc Michallet Turns 50

Marc Michallet, member of the Executive Board of R+V Versicherung AG and responsible for finance and capital investments, will turn 50 on October 4, 2017. He has held his position on the company's board since the beginning of 2015.

Michallet oversees R+V's investment portfolio, which recently reached a market value of over 100 billion euros. The company's investment policy prioritizes long-term stability, global diversification, and consistently high credit ratings. This strategy aims to ensure the fulfillment of customer guarantees, even in the current challenging capital market environment, by increasingly considering yield-generating alternative investment forms.

Prior to joining the board, Michallet served as Head of Securities Portfolio Management for the R+V Insurance Group starting in 2012. He possesses extensive international experience in capital markets, having held leading positions at various international banks, including UBS and Dresdner Kleinwort Investment Bank in London, since 1998.

Michallet also contributes to the industry as a member of the Investment Committee of the German Insurance Association (GDV) and is part of the Insurance & Reinsurance Stakeholder Group at EIOPA, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority.
