RWS completes acquisition of Acolad
Technology firm RWS has finalized its acquisition of Acolad following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
London-listed AI and language solutions company RWS announced on November 2, 2026, the completion of its acquisition of Acogroup, the parent company of Acolad. The transaction follows the conclusion of social consultation and the receipt of all regulatory clearances.
The acquisition is intended to strengthen the footprint of RWS within European and North American markets. It integrates Acolad’s language services and client base with the RWS suite of AI-powered platforms, including Language Weaver Pro and Trados.
Acolad brings specific expertise in localization, interpreting, and transcription, particularly within regulated sectors such as public institutions and medical devices. RWS CEO Ben Faes stated that the combined organization aims to offer expanded AI-supported workflows for enterprise customers while maintaining human oversight.
