Saab and ICEYE to Integrate Space-Based Radar Data into Military Command Systems
Saab has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ICEYE to integrate the latter's advanced space-based radar data into Saab's command and control systems.

Swedish defense company Saab announced on March 5, 2025, that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICEYE, a provider of Synthetic-Aperture Radar (SAR) data. The agreement aims to incorporate ICEYE's radar data capabilities into Saab's existing command and control systems.
The collaboration will focus on integrating ICEYE's advanced SAR technology and data analytics into Saab's systems for military command and control. This integration is expected to enhance tactical decision-making and situational awareness for defense applications, particularly in challenging environmental conditions such as cloud cover or darkness.
Space-based sensor capabilities are increasingly critical for modern military forces, providing essential information regardless of weather or time of day. The partnership intends to deliver tangible value by combining ICEYE's capabilities, including long-range targeting and improved tactical decision support, with Saab's defense system architecture.
Carl-Johan Bergholm, representing Saab, stated that the integration of ICEYE's data will provide real-time, high-resolution imagery under all conditions. This will support comprehensive surveillance and reconnaissance, facilitating faster and more informed decisions in complex operational environments.
