Saab expands defense technology portfolio with new radar and surveillance systems
Saab has announced successful integration tests for its aerial radar systems and introduced new maritime security technologies.

Defense contractor Saab has announced a series of technical developments, including the successful flight testing of its LoyalEye AEW radar on the MQ-9B remotely piloted aircraft. The test, conducted in collaboration with GA-ASI, signals a push to integrate advanced aerial surveillance capabilities into unmanned platforms.
In addition to aerial systems, the company has bolstered its maritime security offerings with the launch of the Ocean Barrier surveillance system. The firm also expanded its radar portfolio with the introduction of the Sea Giraffe AMB-D, a new radar iteration designed for naval operations.
These product updates coincide with ongoing efforts to secure positions in international defense programs. Saab recently confirmed key partnerships for its Gripen fighter aircraft project in Canada, highlighting the company’s focus on broadening its operational footprint in the global aerospace and security markets.
