Saab GlobalEye Secures International Orders and NATO Interest
Saab's GlobalEye airborne surveillance system has seen increased international demand, with new orders and NATO's announcement of plans to acquire up to ten aircraft.

Swedish defense firm Saab has reported significant international interest in its GlobalEye airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) solution. The company has secured new orders and NATO has announced plans to acquire up to ten aircraft, selecting GlobalEye as the foundation for the Alliance's future AEW&C capability.
The recent procurement activities highlight GlobalEye's growing global adoption. Following its initial deployment with the United Arab Emirates, Sweden has ordered three aircraft, and France has ordered two. Canada has also entered into formal negotiations with Saab for a potential acquisition. Additionally, Saab received an order for two GlobalEye aircraft from a Middle Eastern customer in July.
GlobalEye is designed to provide nations with enhanced situational awareness. The system supports decision-making during peacetime operations, crisis management, and conflict response by offering a comprehensive understanding of the operational environment.
Saab states that the system's continuous evolution ensures it remains capable of addressing emerging threats. The company emphasizes that the true value of a defense capability lies in its ability to deliver on its operational promise, a standard GlobalEye has met since its first flight in 2018.
