Saab partners with Poland's WB Group in strategic cooperation

Swedish defense and security company Saab has established a strategic cooperation agreement with the Polish technology firm WB Group. The agreement was signed on September 2 during the MSPO international defense industry exhibition in Kielce, Poland.

The collaboration aims to explore potential cooperation in developing and delivering solutions across various defense sectors. Key focus areas include unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), naval capabilities, and border protection systems. Both companies intend to leverage their respective expertise to drive technological advancements.

Micael Johansson, President and CEO of Saab, highlighted the agreement's significance in strengthening defense capabilities between Poland and Sweden. "This marks another significant step in advancing strategic defense capabilities between Poland and Sweden. Partnering with WB Group enables us to share expertise and scale up innovation to deliver cutting-edge solutions for national security," Johansson stated.

WB Group is a recognized technology company in Poland and internationally, offering advanced solutions to armed forces. Their expertise spans areas such as intelligence, surveillance, and communication systems. Saab, meanwhile, is a global company with a strong presence in aeronautics, weapons systems, and command and control.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Peter Sandwall, State Secretary to Sweden's Minister for Defence Pål Jonson, underscoring the strategic importance of this partnership for both nations.
