Saab Reports Strong Order Intake and Increased Sales in Q2
Defense and security company Saab announced strong second-quarter results for 2026, with a significant increase in order bookings and improved financial performance.

Swedish defense and security firm Saab released its results for the second quarter of 2026 on July 17, reporting a substantial boost in order bookings and robust sales growth.
Order bookings for the period reached SEK 68,393 million, bolstered by a significant SEK 47 billion order for submarines placed by Poland. Sales climbed to SEK 25,453 million, representing an organic sales growth of 29.8%. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased to SEK 3,774 million, with an improved EBITDA margin of 14.8%.
The company's operating profit (EBIT) saw a 41% increase, reaching SEK 2,794 million, with an EBIT margin of 11.0%. Net income rose to SEK 2,170 million, translating to earnings per share of SEK 3.96. Operational cash flow saw improvement, moving to SEK -62 million.
"We delivered a strong second quarter with increased order bookings, high organic sales growth and a strengthened operating margin," stated President and CEO Micael Johansson. He highlighted high demand for Saab's product offerings and the company's focus on capacity expansion and technological innovation to meet market needs. A new business area, Naval, was also established effective from the second quarter.
