Saab to Deliver Combat Systems for German Navy Frigates
Saab has secured an order to deliver and integrate combat systems, composite structures, and sensors onto four of the German Navy's new MEKO A-200 DEU class frigates. The order value is approximately SEK 8.7 billion.

Saab has signed a contract with the German naval defence company TKMS and received an order to deliver and integrate combat systems, composite structures, and sensors onto four of the German Navy’s new MEKO A-200 DEU class frigates.
The order value is approximately SEK 8.7 billion (around EUR 780 million). Saab’s deliveries to TKMS will take place between 2029 and 2032. The frigates will be produced in Germany, with TKMS acting as the prime contractor.
The contract also includes an option for the integration and equipping of additional frigates. This agreement strengthens Saab's position in the European defence market and its capability to supply advanced technological solutions for naval projects.
