Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH has announced the first artists for its 2017 Jazz Festival program. Gerald Preinfalk has received a commission to compose the music for the opening concert, which will take place on Friday, August 25, 2017.
The saxophone artist Wolfgang Puschnig will present a new project, arranged for his group with a string quartet. Kompost 3 and Mira Lu Kovacs will debut a new album, and Manu Mayr is set to perform a solo concert during the "Short Cuts" segment.
Furthermore, David Helbock will open the "Short Cuts" series with his new quartet. The complete festival program is scheduled to be released online on June 1, 2017. Saalfelden Leogang is a well-known tourist destination in the Alps, offering various activities for visitors.
