Saalfelden Leogang Launches Alpaca Trekking Experience
Saalfelden Leogang has introduced alpaca trekking, offering visitors a guided nature experience with the animals. The treks last approximately two hours and require suitable footwear.

The tourist region of Saalfelden Leogang has launched a new offering for visitors: alpaca trekking. This experience combines a guided walk through the natural landscape with an opportunity to learn about alpacas and their care.
The treks are approximately two hours long and are designed to be accessible with appropriate footwear. Participants will receive information about the animals during the walk, which aims to provide an educational and enjoyable outdoor activity.
The cost for the trekking experience varies. Children up to six years old can participate for free. Those accompanying an alpaca pay a set fee, while individuals without an animal pay a reduced rate. A strict no-dog policy is in effect for the treks.
This initiative by Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH is part of its strategy to diversify tourism offerings and attract a broader range of visitors to the area.
