Saalfelden Leogang to Host Mystical Night Hikes

Saalfelden Leogang Tourism is inviting visitors to experience the Alps from a new perspective by organizing mystical night hikes. These guided tours, led by local guide Birgit Battocleti, offer a unique opportunity to explore the Ullachtal valley and its local legends and stories.

The hikes are scheduled to begin in early May and continue through late July, specifically from May 4 to July 27, 2026. The route covers 3.2 kilometers with an elevation gain of 70 meters, lasting approximately two hours. Participants will meet at the Steinberg Leogang football stadium. Attendees are advised to wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the weather conditions.

The aim of these events is to provide a deeper connection to the local culture and natural environment. The guided walks illuminate the path with torches, and local folklore brings the surroundings to life after dark. Visitors get to see the Leogang mountains from a different vantage point, illuminated under the evening sky.

The cost for the hike is €10 per person, but participation is free for Saalfelden Leogang Card holders. A minimum of two participants is required for the hike to proceed. Advance registration is necessary.
