Sachin Tendulkar invests in mobile gaming firm Metasports Interactive
Former cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has taken an equity stake in Metasports Interactive, the startup behind the strategy title Hitwicket.

Former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar has invested in Bengaluru-based gaming startup Metasports Interactive. While financial terms and the valuation of the deal were not disclosed, the move integrates the athlete deeper into the firm’s Hitwicket cricket strategy game.
Founded by Kashyap Reddy and Keerti Singh, Hitwicket focuses on tactical management, allowing users to control team operations. CEO Kashyap Reddy stated that the partnership provides the development team with direct insights into professional tactical thinking. The company reports 20 million users across 120 countries, with revenue growing 100% over the last six months.
The investment arrives as competition in the Indian mobile gaming market intensifies. Rival firm LightFury Games is preparing to launch its own cricket title, backed by a roster of high-profile athletes. As the Indian gaming sector continues to expand, Metasports is targeting 100 million total downloads within the next three years to maintain its market position.
