Sae-A Trading Named UNGC LEAD Participant for Second Consecutive Year
Sae-A Trading has been recognized by the UN Global Compact as a LEAD participant for its ongoing efforts in sustainability and emissions reduction within the global apparel supply chain.
The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) has designated South Korean apparel manufacturer Sae-A Trading as a LEAD participant for the second year running. This recognition places the company among a select group of 34 global entities acknowledged for their progress in integrating the UN’s sustainable development principles into their core business operations.
The designation follows Sae-A’s initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across its international manufacturing facilities. As the apparel sector faces increasing regulatory and consumer pressure to address carbon footprints, the UNGC assessment highlights the company’s efforts to enforce climate action requirements among its tier-two and tier-three suppliers.
Sae-A Trading remains the only Korean clothing manufacturer currently holding this status. The company continues to face the operational challenges of balancing large-scale production volume with the targets required to meet international carbon reduction standards.
