PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Safetyfirst Systems, LLC (SFS) has announced a data security event that may have impacted personal information of certain individuals. The company stated it is unaware of any misuse of the data but is providing notification out of an abundance of caution.
On January 19, 2026, SFS detected suspicious activity within a segment of its server environment. The company promptly secured its systems, notified federal law enforcement, and engaged third-party forensic specialists to investigate the incident.
The investigation concluded that an unauthorized party accessed certain files from limited SFS systems between January 16 and January 19, 2026. SFS has since reviewed the affected files and determined that the compromised information may include names, Social Security numbers, and driver's license numbers.
In response, SFS has enhanced its security measures and is reviewing existing policies to prevent future incidents. The company recommends that potentially affected individuals remain vigilant against identity theft by monitoring account statements and credit reports.
