Sage completes acquisition of retail operating system provider Brightpearl
Sage Group has finalized the purchase of Brightpearl to integrate retail management capabilities into its existing financial software portfolio.

The Sage Group plc has finalized the acquisition of Brightpearl, a provider of cloud-native operating systems for retailers and wholesalers. This acquisition is part of Sage's strategy to enhance its vertical offerings for the retail and e-commerce sectors, particularly by linking front-end sales data with back-office financial accounting.
By integrating Brightpearl’s platform with Sage Intacct, the company aims to offer merchants a centralized system for inventory planning, sales order management, and logistics. The move is intended to assist growing businesses in automating manual processes and reducing human error across multiple sales channels and international borders.
Sage has begun onboarding early adopters to the integrated solution, with a broader market release scheduled for later this year. The company will continue to offer Brightpearl’s services, providing merchants with access to its retail-specific functionalities alongside Sage’s broader accounting and payroll infrastructure.
