Sage Intacct Expands Automation in Core Finance Workflows

London, May 28, 2026 – Sage, a provider of accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses, has announced updates to its Sage Intacct software. The new capabilities extend automation across core financial processes including receivables, accounts payable, and purchasing, with the goal of reducing manual work and improving visibility.
The updates feature AI-powered automation for accounts payable processing and SaaS analytics. Additionally, Sage Intacct AI Gateway allows for the extension of AI capabilities by connecting to business systems via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. This enables the secure and controlled integration of financial data with external AI services.
These enhancements are designed to address the growing pressure on finance teams to increase productivity, accelerate decision-making, and operate with greater agility. Sage Intacct aims to reduce reliance on manual processes that can lead to slower execution and limited visibility, while strengthening control and operational oversight.
New features include payment reminders for accounts receivable management, automated three-way matching for accounts payable, and customizable approval processes for purchasing. SaaS Intelligence 2.0 offers enhanced AI-driven insights into revenue performance for SaaS companies, supporting strategic decision-making.
