Sage Updates Estimating Software for Construction Industry

Sage has introduced a significant update to its Sage Estimating software, designed for the construction industry's bidding process. The update brings cloud-based functionalities and boosts existing features, building on over 30 years of the software's deployment.

The core of this new version emphasizes cloud collaboration capabilities and AI-assisted tools. For instance, the eTakeoff Dimension add-on utilizes artificial intelligence for material and quantity takeoffs from project drawings, achieving up to 98% accuracy. This substantially reduces errors associated with manual work and spreadsheets, accelerating the estimating process.

The software integrates seamlessly with other Sage products, including financial and construction management solutions. Once a bid is accepted, data flows automatically, minimizing manual data entry and potential mistakes. Sage Estimating also features the embedded BidMatrix tool for analyzing subcontractor bids, allowing for instant processing of thousands of price combinations.

Sage highlights that the updated software will assist companies in creating more precise and competitive bids, potentially improving profit margins.
