SAIC Maxus Launches 2027 Starry X Pickup Truck
SAIC Maxus has officially launched its 2027 Starry X pickup truck in China, offering three distinct models. Pricing for the new pickup starts at 185,800 yuan (approximately $25,600 USD).
SAIC Maxus, a Chinese automotive manufacturer, has introduced its 2027 Starry X pickup truck to the Chinese market. The new model is available in three configurations, with the entry-level version priced at 185,800 yuan.
The 2027 Starry X is powered by SAIC's πPlus 2.5T diesel engine, delivering 520 Nm of torque and boasting a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons. The vehicle features a body-on-frame "Star Bridge" chassis architecture, coupled with M-LOCK four-wheel-drive and an ATS 3.0 all-terrain system offering 12 driving modes. It provides a ground clearance of 240 mm.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens. The rear seats can be folded down to create a 1.9-meter by 1.4-meter sleeping area within the "versatile cabin," which offers up to 3,000 liters of storage space and supports a "camper mode."
Standard features include a 360-degree surround-view camera system, ESP stability control, hill descent control, and tire pressure monitoring. Higher trim levels add L2 driver assistance systems, trailer reverse assist, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
