SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 5S sedan exterior colors revealed, sales begin Q3

SAIC Volkswagen has unveiled the five exterior color options for its forthcoming ID. ERA 5S intelligent hybrid sedan. The company stated that the new vehicle is scheduled to go on sale in the third quarter.

According to the manufacturer, the body of the ID. ERA 5S features a fine metallic paint process. By optimizing the metal particles, the car's body exhibits rich light and shadow variations under different lighting conditions. The available colors are Urban Gold, Chic Green, Avant-garde Black, Sky Grey, and Modern White.

Information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology indicates the vehicle measures 4836mm in length, 1880mm in width, and 1505mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2766mm. The powertrain will be a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system. The engine’s maximum net power is 77kW, and the electric motor has a rated power of 57.6kW and a peak power of 130kW.

The SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 5S officially rolled off the production line on July 20. It is set to become Volkswagen's first sedan model equipped with advanced City NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) capabilities for urban driving. The car also includes the "Cloud Chasing" advanced driver-assistance system and the "Cloud Perch" intelligent cockpit.
