Salesforce Acquires Israeli AI Startup Loops for $30 Million

Salesforce has agreed to acquire Loops, an Israeli startup specializing in AI-powered analytics software, in a deal reportedly valued at approximately $30 million. The acquisition aims to enhance Salesforce's data analytics platform, Tableau, by incorporating Loops' capabilities for more autonomous data analysis.

Loops, founded in 2020 by Tom Laufer and Ido Adiv, developed software designed to explain shifts in key business metrics such as revenue and customer retention, and to suggest subsequent actions. The company had previously raised $14 million in a seed funding round in 2022.

The integration of Loops' technology and team is expected to significantly bolster Tableau's ability to provide automated insights and recommendations to users. This move aligns with Salesforce's ongoing strategy to leverage artificial intelligence to improve its product offerings.

The deal is anticipated to close in early November, within Salesforce's fiscal year 2027. This acquisition follows Salesforce's previous investments in Israeli tech companies, including Own and Doti, indicating a continued focus on talent and technology within the region.
